Ingredients

  • 2 Whole Apples I like to use a softer apple like macintosh
  • 3 Whole Dates
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 1 tbsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/8 tsp Salt
  • 1/8 tsp Cardamom
  • 1 Roll Puff Pastry Dough

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  • Chop up apples and dates into small pieces.
  • Add apples, dates, butter, and all the spices to a Sauté pan. Sauté all together till the apples are softened.
  • Cut up puff pastry dough into 6 pieces. They should be rectangle shaped.
  • Divide up the apple mixture onto one side of the puff pastry rectangles.
  • Use a little water on your finger to slightly wet the edges of the puff pastry rectangles. This will make it easier for you to seal the dough. Fold the dough over and press around the edge to seal the pocket.
  • Bake at 400 degrees for 12-15 minutes.
  • Let cool for 10 minutes and serve.
